Fiercy Me

Compared to Muqtasaem, Nadhirah is more aggressive and fierce. Just look at her face..GGRRRRRRRR

More than words

No words can describe
• how sad a liltle girl being abused and dead
• how mad a human, a Muslim can be so heartless and mean
• how insensitive d community to ignore a couple living together without getting married
• how afraid a group of footballers to stop and capture d 'animal' from abusing
• how low d moral values instilled in ourself
• how ignorant a grandpa to not report d abuse earlier
• how stupid love is! A mother can be in love with an 'animal'
• how ignorant d authority to let abuse happens repeatedly

No words can describe how sad to look at a dead body of a liltle girl who has so much to explore n learn in this world!!

Kiss Me

"kiss me
out of the bearded barley
Nightly
beside the green green grass
Swing swing
swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress

Oh, kiss me
beneath the milky twilight
Lead me
out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon sparkling
So kiss me"

The best remedy when u come back from a hectic day at the office is....

Kissing..Smooching....your babies, aint it so dis-stressing? Baby's smell is so addictive and you can't get enough of it. How many times do we need to kiss our kids everyday? Uncountable times.
I just love the smell of babies. be it after bath or even if they are sweating after running around.
I hope that they will not avoid my kiss although they have grown up. After all they are my babies :)

Kissing your babies, give them the assurance that you love them. Its human touch that works the most to strengthen the bond between parents and their children. No matter how old your children are, kiss them countlessly.

Good nite sleep

An adult need 6-8 hours of sleep in a day. Me? Less than that. After nearly 3 years of having children, my sleep time become lesser. If i could get at least 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep is enough for me. But it rarely happens.

Nowadays, its been even harder for me to fall asleep before 12midnite. The funny thing is my kids are already in their 'dreamland' but still i couldn't sleep. And by the time i wanted to sleep, Nadhirah wakes up for breastfeeding session :).

Stay late at nite has becoming a habit. No matter how tired i am, i just couldn't sleep early. Tired in d morning? Of course!! But this is becoming a habit..my body clock has been customized in such way.

I think the last time i had a good nite sleep when i was on business trip sometime in June 2009. Oh i tell you, heaven!! But i still wakes up in the middle of d nite for d first two days. Dah biasa, Nadhirah's feeding time :). But to get such a beauty sleep is a reward that i couldn't ask for more.

Some ppl say, drink hot milk or get into hot shower if you couldn't sleep. I dont do milk..but to shower in d middle of d nite, i have to pass. Mau everyday mandi nanti kena radang paru2 kan.

I think too much ke? Naah not really..or my biological clock is ticking? Hhmmm..
I need to sleep..zzzzzzz. But how?

Top iPhone Apps reviewed by the kids

My iPhone is celebrating its 1st year anniversary soon. When i bought it last year, its the iPod function that i needed the most. Mainly because while i breastfeed Nadhirah, i can watch my favorite TV series :D. Where got time to watch TV, kan? Thus i never have the intention to download any other applications. Till, my dear friends compared their iPhone applications with mine. "2 page je??" hahahaha...mmg totally suci my iPhone.

After that remark, i started downloading games for the kids. And sometimes i regret doing so, because they will conquer my iPhone :(.

Here are some of the Top Apps they love to play

1. Matching Zoo

In this game, you need to pair the animals. The best part, each animals makes their own unique sound.

2. Shapes
The kids need to tap on the right shapes and they will get a round of applause if they are correct.

3. Traffic Rush
This game, i pun addicted jugak. You need to control the traffic to avoid any accidents. it can be done so by accelerating or stop the vehicles. ada motor, bus. kereta. Muqtasaem likes to collide the vehicles...hmmm

4. Fishing Lite
Fishing lite is Nadhirah's favorite. She loves watching the fish. Bukan dia main pun. In this game, you need to catch as many fish as possible before moving to the next level. But Nadhirah just love to watch the fish. When the game is over, she will ask for a replay :)

5. Cocoto Kart
yang ni mcm devil racing. its a kart race game. you just use the phone to maneuver your car. kira iphone ni jadik steering wheel. Cool kan iphone? :)

6. Jungle Crash

The airplane is running out of fuel so it needs to land in the jungle. So your task is to clear the obstacles (e.g. rock) to make way for landing. Musqtasaem likes to see it crashes..

One thing good is that, i can distract them so i can happily do my own chores. The bad thing, sometimes i pun kena berebut with them. There are a lot of apps available for iPhone, and some of them are actually good for the kids. But i only choose the free ones lah :) Economical not cheapskate. Who doesn't love FREE stuff rite?
Btw i already have 6 pages of applications :)

Hot weather

The hot weather in Malaysia is expected to end by early April. Panas2 ni ramai yang jatuh sakit. This includes Nadhirah.
At the moment, i'm at APSH waiting to see d paed. Apparently mmg ramai bdk2 yg sakit. Mostly having fever.
Musim2 panas ni, please avoid bringing the kids outside. Even we couldnt stand d heat, apalagi our kids. Give them a lot of water.
The body dehydrates more in hot weather. Furthermore d kids remain active so water is essential to balance d body temperature.
Avoid giving ice drinks to d kids. But that one, i couldnt help myself. Ice water is something i look for in this kinda weather (bad example :) )
Since its hot now, please ensure we take extra precaution in eliminating mosquitos. Makin byk nyamuk musim panas ni. So be extra careful when the kids showing feverish symptom.

Denggi dan Ketam

*image googled

selalu je dengar if kena denggi, makan la sup ketam. what's the relevancy? Even the doctor treating my sister recommended her to take sup ketam. i've read testimonials from ex-dengue patients about the wonder of 'sup ketam' in healing dengue. if it is so berkesan, why not making it into pills ke kan?

According to klinikummi, crab is high in protein. This protein will help in building blood platelet which are damaged due to dengue virus.

Since dengue is common in tropical climates like Malaysia. Maybe the Malaysian scientist could initiate a research of treating dengue with crab. or it is has been initiated? if there is, it should be commercialized. boleh bagi bisnes to penternak ketam :)

here are some links to alternative treatment to cure dengue.

High Fever or Dengue?

Today is the second day Nadhirah is having fever. Only fever. The doctor pun hiran, her tekak looks fine, no coughing but she's having fever. The doctor already prepared us with reference letter to the hospital. However we will wait till tomorrow. If her fever has not subside, we need to do a blood test. Ni pun sebab, my sister was diagnosed with dengue yesterday and now she is hospitalized. She has been having fever off and on for a week. After a blood test yesterday, she was admitted. Thus, we are being cautious if Nadhirah is infected as well. I do pray hard, its just a normal fever.

Some signs and symptoms of dengue.
- High fever (104 F, 40°C)
- Chills
- Headache
- Red eyes, pain in the eyes
- Enlarged lymph nodes
- Deep muscle and joint pains (during first hours of illness)
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea and vomiting
- Low blood pressure and heart rate
- Extreme fatigue

My sis was having some of the symptoms but only yesterday that some rashes appears on her body. Up to now, she's recovering, Alhamdulillah.

Dinner time!!

The kids are 15 months apart.sometimes they act like twins. When one is not around, the other mcm lost. They play, eat, sleep together. Buat nakal pun together. There was one time i caught them sneaked into bathroom n main air!! Senyap2 je.
During dinner time, both of them must be seated together. Or else they wont eat. We bought 1 high chair when Muqtasaem was born.assuming he wont need it anymore, we opted not to buy for Nadhirah.hhmm we were wrong. Luckily my mom ordered a rattan high chair. so now we have two high chairs at my mom's place.

One thing i noticed for quite a while, Nadhirah likes to bully her brother. See in these pictures, she took his brother's portion of corn! and let her brother cry..ish ish..

Cash or Card?

you walk to the ATM/deposit machine ,
1. insert your card
2. key in pin number
3. key in amount to withdraw
4. get your cash
5. get your card
6. get your receipt

Do you notice anything wrong? Should you get your card first then your cash? or the other way round? or your receipt first then only your cash..or you dont care? it happened to me once, i wanted to deposit money, i insert the card, deposit the money and receipt come out first..then i left, without noticing that the card came out later. On my part, i agreed i was clumsy.

On the other hand, the machine should be designed in such a way it is more usable and receptive to the users. Normally, when we go to restaurants, we pay the bills and get the receipt. So users are accustomed to the fact receipt will always came later. so in the case of ATM/deposit machine, receipts should always be the last. i'm not saying all banks are like that, but only some.

Between card and cash, cash should come out first. Imagine you are the seller, when someone wants to buy something from you, you get the cash first then only u give out the item to buyer. you would not give the item first before getting paid, rite? so in the atm case, if u tertinggal the card, u can always call the bank to cancel it. But if you leave the cash?? for sure lesap punya. betul tak?
just a thought, since it happened to me..

Are you a juggler?

Are you a mom, a wife, a worker, a housekeeper and a cook? How do you juggle between these jobs/tasks? Being a FTWM (full time working mom) requires a lot of energy and patience! Kesabaran sgt penting yee.
When you are home after 9-10 hours at d office + getting stuck in d KL traffic, a comfy bed sounds really tempting. But once you reach home, d only "comfort" that you found is d noise of your kids. Do you blame them for getting excited to see you're home? Of course NOt!! But everyday we wish they will behave and leave us alone. Sigh*
This is where patience is important. I do lose my patience once (twice or couple of times?) in a while. kekadang terkeluar jugak temper..but after a while i regret being like that. i tried not to lose my temper but being in tired state made me do so. being at home after work means, you are switched to being a mom, cook and cleaner. Alhamdulillah, i have maid to help out. or else i think i will lose my mind soon enough. After having two kids, i learnt to block out the yelling, noises the kids make. if i attend to each of the yelling, i think i wont survive.

BUT i do love being a mom!

Balik kampung

On the second day of long weekend, we decided to head back to Tampin to visit my grandma. We stayed overnight and planning to stop by Pedas hot spring on the way back to KL.
Unfortunately the next morning, Muqtasaem is down with fever. So we end up 'lepaking' at 'kampung'.

Nadhirah relaxing

the sick boy

Nadhirah was excited to see chickens and ducks at the backyard. She even waved goodbyes to them when we left kampung. So cute!

Aquaria

While most of KLians decided to get out from KL. We decided not to add to d crowd at highways. So where do we go? Aquaria!! Finally. The entrance fee for adult is RM28 for Malaysian. I think it should be cheaper. Luckily d kids are still below 3 so its free entrance for them.
It was not so crowded, so we managed to enjoy most of the exhibits.

Nadhirah was the one who is so excited. She stopped at most of d aquarium n enjoyed watching d fish. She even didn't care if we were not around. Hhmmm..not good.

Muqtasaem on d other hand just took a peek n left. Couldnt been bother to stand n watch too long except for big fish.

At the Amazon area, they have XXXXXXXXL fish. Sooo huge. Ni mau makan sebulan pun tak habis.

Besides fish there are also reptiles n insects area. But its just too many small cages to see. I skipped most of it. Jenuh nak tgk satu2.

The best part was the underwater tunnel. Live sharks!

It was mentioned the size is 30% smaller than the normal size. Pheeww...i thought these could have swallown an adult in a blink. The tunnel is basically the main attraction n also d end of Aquaria.

There are some renovations work still going on during our visit. I hope they will put more aqua animals.maybe penguins like d one in Langkawi. N i think there should be more animal shows. There are piranha feeding time but we missed it..

Overall the kids enjoyed it! Best jugak being in KL while others get out from d town. Traffic is so clear..if n only if it maintains like this forever :)

KLCC park

Yesterday Mr Hubby was on MC. so he decided to take the kids to KLCC park while waiting for me. after finishing my task in the office, i went to the park. the weather was nice but little bit hot. i was walking for about 5 minutes and i was already sweating. memang musim panas kot sekarang ni. when i arrived, my two lil muchkins were chasing the birds. sungguh active. When they saw me, they ran towards me because i was holding a bottle of water. oohh...haus rupanya.

i'm so thirsty

yeay mama brought me water..

Due to current weather, it is best to ensure that the kids have enough fluid in a day. I was lucky my kids have no issue drinking plain water compared to juices. i limit their juices intake to avoid tooth decay. the kids paed always remind us not to give Ribena to the kids, due to high level of sugar. Even Mr Hubby stopped drinking Ribena.
We introduced water to kids after they were 6months old. We will ensure the water is filtered thus its good to have a good water filtering system. Since my kids stays at my parents house during the day, we installed a water filter at my mom's house as well. Due to pollution and contamination that might have penetrated to the water system, the tap water is not safe for usage. although you have boiled it, it might only killed the bacteria but the contaminants might still be there unseen. Thus its better to get the water filtered. just my 2 cents.

What is eco friendly?

Several states in Malaysia already begun their No Plastic Campaigns. it is just a start to the whole new beginning to protect our mother Earth. There are so many different ways for us to do our part. Have you heard about Eco Friendly products? What is it all about?

What are Eco Friendly Products?

The environment that we live in is vital for our survival. How we treat the environment has a direct impact on the quality of our lives. A lot of awareness is being raised about eco friendly products. These eco friendly products are designed to keep the environment clean and green.

Eco friendly products are those goods and services that are manufactured in an environmental friendly manner. The production and use of these eco friendly products leave no negative impact on the environment.

Harmful effects of industries on the environment

For many years now, industries have been emitting harmful chemicals into the environment. These industries manufacture a variety of products that in turn cause more harm to the environment. These harmful gases and chemicals degrade the quality of air around us leading to air pollution. As a result many people fall victim to health complications such as asthma, allergies, respiratory diseases, and others. The main goal of eco friendly products is to create goods and services that are gentle on the environment.

Eco friendly products made of recycled materials

Eco friendly products are made with recycled materials that don’t exploit the already depleting resources of the planet. The main focus is to add to the environment and not take from the environment. Although our beautiful planet has much to give us, we cannot continue plundering the limited resources that are available. At this rate, there will be nothing left for the future generations. More and more people are becoming conscious of their roles as responsible citizens of the earth and purchasing eco friendly products that are made from recycled material. Several useful products are made from recycled plastic, recycled rubber, and many other common materials that we use every day.

Identifying eco friendly products

If you would like to transform your home into an eco friendly haven, and looking for the right, green products, you have a lot to look forward to. Not only are super markets and local shops full of eco friendly products, but so is the world of the internet. When it comes to buying eco friendly products from online stores, you will truly be spoiled for choice. From recycled paper to eco friendly bags, you have a huge array of green products to fill your home. Identifying an eco friendly product is easy; all you need to do is carefully read through the description of products that states whether they are organic, recycled, or completely natural. Descriptions on eco friendly products usually read as “hundred per cent organic,” “made from recycled materials,” or anything on those lines.

Creating eco friendly products

The process of creating eco friendly products is vital for the good quality of the environment. For a product to be eco friendly it must be made from organic materials. Recycled products such as organic cotton are made without the use of pesticides. Similarly any product that is made organically without using any sort of chemicals is said to be eco friendly. Eco friendly products are much the rage among environmentally conscious people who are eager to contribute towards a cleaner and greener planet.

Eco friendly products cut down on waste

One of the many positive outcomes of creating and using eco friendly products is that these don’t accumulate as harmful waste that fouls the air and the earth. Environmentally bad products such as plastic toys and battery-operated gadgets bring about a lot of harm to the environment when improperly dumped. Organic and recycled products cut down on the colossal waste that gets generated everyday around the world.

Eco friendly products are a first choice for environmentally conscious individuals looking for green goods and services to live a simple, fulfilling life.

So friends, have you done your part?

Kak..mintak tolong..

My usual pit stop after lunch would be Cold Storage. ada je something to buy. or relatively speaking i need to buy something to munch after lunch :). Today, as i was browsing through the drink area, a petite lady approached me. Ini mesti nak promote barang, my heart said. oh , fikiran ku meleset sama sekali..rupa-rupanya.."Kak tolong ambilkan air Kacip Fatimah tu" she asked while pointing at the very top shelf. with an open heart, i reached the drink and passed it to her. jadi tinggi pun ada kelebihannya i.e. boleh tolong orang :)
